1. As a newly-arrived teenager in Midgar, Zax used to flirt with much older women, taking advantage of his height and build making him look like he could be legal. He stopped this after the first time his voice broke in the middle of a conversation.

2. The scar on his cheek he likes so much, and so proudly displays? He fell into a quarry when he was eight.

3. He's always had a good tolerance for alcohol. This was awesome in the barracks, when for a while he could drink any other trooper his age under the table.
