1. Kairi is an artist at heart. She used to draw, more than anything else, but it soon became too frustrating for her that she could never make people look the way they were supposed to, and she stopped; to fill the void, she took up sewing, shell jewelry, anything and everything that she could get her hands on and turn into something pretty.

2. For a long time, she didn't understand her power to see into people's hearts, or why other people couldn't. This is part of why she made herself doubt her intuitions about Riku, even when she could see the darkness threatening to swallow him whole.

3. She loves Sora and Riku equally, of course; but there's a comfort she gets in Riku's arms that isn't there with Sora. Sora feels flighty to her, like a little bird that's very happy to be where he is and will always come back there, but might still fly away at any time. Riku feels solid, rooted, like the earth she can always depend on to stay right there.
