The gods of academia are fickle, indeed, but occasionally moved to mercy.
The management final I was so worried about because I hadn't managed to study? The teacher had been too busy to write a final so he typed up two questions with No Right Answer for us to answer and turn in.
The OMGFUCKINGPAPER and presentation? Well, that class fell prey to the most spectacular finals snafu I've ever seen. There were computer problems, life problems, people weren't prepared, most of us were missing a vital component of the presentation, one poor girl had her entire final report (which had been ready for two weeks) completely annihilated in a mass computer crash - so the teacher extended the due date for the paper, nulled the presentations, and awarded bonus points to the people who HAD the critical presentation component, based on a vote from the class on how the hell we could fairly resolve the massive pile of shit that had landed on the entire class all at once.
So I have an extra couple days to finish my paper. Which is excellent, because it's nearly done as it is. My big problem was getting started - the lion's share is done now and I should be able to do the rest with comparatively less panic.
All that's left is my geology presentation, which I do in fact have ready and which is basically sop work and didn't have to be anything special. It's the one thing I wasn't terrified about.
