So I'm torn on Apollo Justice.

I really want to play it, because I have all these raging rabid biases and I want to at least inform them with firsthand experience. Also I actually like Apollo and Klavier and am determined to find something that doesn't piss me off about Trucy.

At the same time, the thought makes me shudder and I want the game to fall off the face of the planet.

I don't know if I could endure seeing Hobo actually on my screen, talking and moving and being not Phoenix, dammit D:

(Either way, I'm not buying it. I'll borrow a copy if I decide to play.)

I have a feeling that Capcom is going to Megaman the hell out of this series. In other words, twenty-five years down the line, the original characters, characters that appeared in the second series, and characters from the second series but a now in a new separate canon from the second series won't be appearing in the games anymore.

And they'll be like, five alternate Ace Attorney universes, each with their own series.

I don't know why Trucy pisses people off, to be honest. D: I like her. And I think Naruhobo is... interesting. I mean. I'm not quite sure what to think of him. But it's not dislike, but I can't say I like him. It's like watching your shiny role model that you've idolized since childhood descend into the world of drugs and alcohol abuse, right before your eyes!

I'm also torn.

I can take Hobohodo - like I've said, a lifetime in comics fandom makes it easy for me to write the entire Apollo Justice continuity as an alternate reality.

That said, I don't want to take Hobohodo and there's so many brilliant games out for the DS right now that I want to play I don't particularly feel I need to take Hobohodo.

Rename him Fred in your mind.

If it makes you feel better, I am sure Trucy will be infinitely more tolerable without referring to herself in the third person like she does in the Japanese. That won't help with her creepy lack of a moral compass and sociopathic tendencies, but at least you won't want to beat her face in every time she opens her mouth.

I tried to join the fandom in its wrath and indignation, but since roughly the second thing I heard spluttered in rage and pique was "And--and the stupid sexy well-dressed German twins--!" ....weeeelllllll....

....Actually, Trucy's my favorite character after Klavier. XD I love her, she's so adorable.

Hm, excuse me, but I've only recently gotten into PW and I was thinking about AJ and I came across your post - what exactly is Hobo?
