I haz question!

Are there any Pokemon players on my flist who would be willing to trade me something - anything, really - holding a spare Leftovers?

I'm still beating my head against the Pokemon League, and one of my Pokemon is just really going to need some Leftovers. My only option for getting one right now is honey trees, though, and that's not working too well.

I rented ... is it diamond? Pearl? I don't know which one, but got terrifically bored an hour into it. Who wouldn't, with Team Bidoof? But if you're playing it, maybe it would be worth picking back up ...

It's... okay, it's not High Art or anything, the story's pretty thin and there's a lot of things that annoy me about it. But it's fun enough, as a Pokemon game. (I've also been getting such a thrill over the fact that when you select a girl character, the script doesn't change - so the story basically treats her exactly the way it would a boy. Granted, the player character is a silent hero so there's not a lot of depth to it, but it shocked me what a gratifying experience it was to run around as a girl in a game world that's just going HELLO AWESOME ADVENTURER.) Worth another try, at least. (Also, fuck Bidoof. Bidoof sucks in all ways.)

I'm getting ready to fight the Elite Four, though, and it's pretty brutal. There's a sharp level curve, and I hate powerleveling in Pokemon. I really, really do.

Just a couple days ago I bought a copy of diamond and so I'm not very far. if I did have leftovers I would gladly help you out. if you need anything later when I'm further in I'll gladly help!

I can't really connect to the internet with my DS, but you shouldn't have to depend on a hold item to be beating the Elite Four... What's your team made up of?

Luxray, Staraptor, Rapidash, Gastrodon, Alakazam, and Lucario.

It's not so much that I'll be depending on that specific item to beat them, it's that my Rapidash is made of glass and it'll be really inconvenient if he faints.

Oh. What level are your dudes at? I had the funny feeling it might be a Rapidash you needed it for, and I'm not sure why. Well you shouldn't be putting it up against anything it won't OHKO anyway. Just buying a few Revives and potions is probably better?

They're all level 50, except my Luxray who's 51.

The problem with my Rapidash is that he has the heavy task of being my Sunny Day/Solarbeamer, since he was about the only one I could stick a grass move on. XD So he has to at least live for two turns. I DO have Enigma Berries I could give him, but a constant heal would be better.

alakazam can learn grass knot, actually. it'd be good for really heavy water type pokemon... but a trade is a trade. you can actually keep it, now that I think about it, I don't even need it anymore.

... that's true, and I admit I'm really considering it. It'd be fantastic for Bertha. I'm just not sure what to give up in his Psychic/Reflect/Calm Mind/Recover moveset.

Recover would be my choice, Alakazam isn't exactly made for taking hits and Recover doesn't do what an item won't. Bertha's a pushover, I meant Cynthia's monster Milotic :P

Ugh, still working on it DX I have to configure shit on my desktop computer, which is pretty much the biggest piece of TRASH in existence.
