Oh, man. It's seemed like forever, but I finally have Crisis Core.

Got my paycheck yesterday, and promptly went a little crazy with the YAY MONEY; got myself a PSP, Crisis Core, War of the Lions, and Chrono Trigger DS; along with the Watchmen trade paperback and a PW manga. It's a damn good thing for my wallet that Gamestop DIDN'T have Okami or Eternal Darkness, really...

Crisis Core is the game I'm really excited about, though. I mean... shit. I was following this game from its very first vague mention and obscure trailer. From the days when we weren't even sure if it was going to happen, to the surreality of cutscene clips and a release date. I've been staring at it in agony on store shelves, just waiting until I could afford a PSP so I could finally play it...

...So naturally, when I finally can, the used PSP I bought to save money has an analog stick that gets stuck constantly, making the game nearly unplayable because Zack won't fucking stop running around Fort Tamblin.

Yeah I think I'm going back and getting a new PSP.

But on the upside, Zack is doofy and adorable! I can't wait until I have a better-working PSP that doesn't hate joy and will actually let me play without technical issues.

My PSP analog stick gets stuck constantly, too. It's like. If the smallest piece of detritus manages to wedge itself in there, the thing won't budge. I've been able to strongarm it into cooperating, at least >.>;

Man, that bad, huh. I was able to strongarm mine for a while, but then it got to where it just resisted all efforts... and this was in the course of maybe an hour's gameplay.

I wouldn't be so annoyed if the analog stick weren't so much easier for moving than the directional keys. >_

Yeah. I LOVE WAR OF THE LIONS, and I need to pick up CC, and Dissidia is MY LOOOOVE buuut...the DS is superior as a gaming platform.

Off topic, I love how your reactions to Dissidia have been equivalent to my reactions to KH. XD I recall how NOT THRILLED you were before...

And yeah. The DS is just... it's more comfortable, it's more intuitive, you can do more with it. Also, it has TWEWY. The platform with TWEWY wins, I'm sorry. I've never gotten console favoritism in general - I buy it if it has games I want, my Wii and my PS2 coexist happily - but I'm kinda starting to think Sony/PS fanthings are... particularly stupid. Seriously. It's not better.

I SHOULD TRY THAT. It just seems like there's somehow something IN THERE that I probably couldn't reach....

WELL AFTER KH I DIDN'T TRUST NOMURA WITH NON-NOMURA CHARACTERS. All the issues I have with characterization stem from "we had to make a fighting game here D:" so I CAN FORGIVE THEM FOR THAT.

And Zidane does in fact make a pass at Terra so all is right with the world :|b

I want someone to app Cosmos so all the FF heroes can be MYSTERIOUSLY PINGED
