So... I get home from an awesome con, unpack the important stuff, get some water, and generally prepare to unwind online for a while before sleep. I sit down, turn my computer on...
-- and something BLOWS OUT in Schala's back, complete with sparks and a loud fizzling noise. Following this is a smell of burnt plastic and the complete inability to turn Schala back on.
Sooooo, borrowing my mom's laptop for a while. O_O;;;;
Man, and I was hoping to upload my photos and everything. Nothing looks fried in Schala's innards, so it was probably just her power supply deciding to have a spectacular Fourth of July failure. We won't know until tomorrow night when Dad can get a new power supply in.
Meh. I needed sleep anyway.

The other day my mother's church goer friends decided to bless our house, so they went around all rooms praying and spraying holy water around. That no holy water dropped into our open CPU was a blessing all on its own.

I hear a vacuum cleaner that blows two ways can make dusting a comp an almost instantaneous job. Unfortunately I've yet to see a single two-way vacuum cleaner in my life (it's like no one in my city is interested in buying them, so the stores don't bother... O_o).
