I would just like to say that Reeve is TOTALLY A MAD SCIENTIST.

Not evil, of course. But definitely mad. XD

Any explanation would involve some spoilers for the first half-hour/hour of Dirge of Cerberus. I won't go throwing those out willy-nilly. I learned better after getting mauled by a vicious attack Flidget for doing just that.

It's a fucking hilarious scene, though. XD

No kidding. That scene cracked me the hell up.

The other thing that consistently makes me laugh is the way Vincent flourishes his cape on any and all pretexts. (I don't think that counts as spoilery -- it's practically as much a given that Vincent will flourish as it is that Vincent will wear red and brood.)

Oh, god, yes. It cracked me up so much in the original game how Vincent was such a drama queen in his every movement - it's nice to see that while he may not do the superhero run anymore, by god he will still flourish his cape for no reason at all.

That's what's so great about Vincent, really. He's a goth's goth, but he's FUNNY. I'm waiting to see if he calls Cid 'Chief'.

I would get behind any organization Reeve was head of, because he is just that awesome. (Yes. He was TOTALLY enjoying the moment. TOTALLY. Squee. I just adore Reeve. He's so.... delightfully absurd.)

....drama queen is definitely the term. :D You could send the man out for bagels and he'd take a route that involved standing on something tall with his cape in the wind and back to the moon at least once. Like, "I am the brooding gothy one, so I might as well milk it for all it's worth." And that's why I love him.

Oh, yes. I can't wait to see Cid.

Reeve is pretty much composed of win and good, yes. :D ... And with Dirge, has jumped up several ranks in the "Fictional Guys I Would Totally Do" list. He's still under Kiros, but it's a near thing. XD (Oh, he was TOTALLY getting a kick out of it. You know he was giggling at his own mad cleverness.)

... he totally would, wouldn't he. XD Yes. Absolutely. He's wonderful. Also, I think he likes his cape.

It was fantastic. I think my favorite part of DoC right now is Reeve, actually. He's is totally not how I pictured him from FF7 and yet he's so completely awesome because he has to have a wacky side for controlling Cait Sith. Plus, he's hot (I'm thinking this game might convert me into a Vincent/Reeve fan, actually, even with that cool, one eyed Quistis!chick).

See, I've always thought Reeve was kinda hot. Dirge just proved me right. XD But yeah. He's smoking. And of course he has to have a wacky side. XD I've always kind of theorized that controlling Cait Sith kind of gave him a dual personality - there's Reeve, and then there's the part of Reeve that's grown so much into the Cait Sith persona that it is Cait Sith. <3

Vincent/Reeve... I don't think I'd object. :D (Much as I like Cid/Vincent and Yuffie/Vincent.)

Reeve was always just kind of...Reeve to me. An underdog dork thing. I never really gave much thought to him in FF7 because Cait Sith was one of my least favorite characters (only because his attacks were weak)—but, yeah. That makes sense. Reeve with MPD where he shows his second personality through a robot cat that rides on top of a moogle that has a thyroid problem. I love it. ♥

I have some cracked out FF7 pairings, actually. Like, Cid/Vincent and Tseng/Vincent (from back when Vincent was a Turk), and Reno/Yuffie. But...Reeve/Vincent appeals to me, now, due to a couple of scenes from DoC. ♥

Okay, help me out. I've heard DoC is awful, but that was before it was released. How is it? Honestly? Do I need to rent it?

I'm actually having fun with it. Gameplay is definitely a big departure from every Final Fantasy ever, but it actually seems to be pretty good. I don't generally play shooters so I can't speak for how it compares to others, but I'm enjoying it.

The graphics are also jaw-droppingly pretty, the music is decent, and the voice acting is getting a lot better. (Except for when Vincent jumps. I'm not sure how nobody in the sound studio ever went "Hey, Steven, you're doing a great job! One thing, though... this sound you did for when he jumps... can we do that one over? And, you know, make him sound less like an anemic gorilla?")

I'm, uh, really just here to say I love your icon ^^. And that you're making me even more curious. My copy won't ship until the 21st, and since it has to go a looong way (from America to some tiny little village over here in Europe), it will be almost two weeks until I'll be able to play it. Meh.
