The funny thing is I have 50 other things I should be doing.
So I registered to compete in Photoshop contests on a website. photoshopcontest.com, appropriately.
I actually found the site through StumbleUpon, where it caught my eye by having Photoshop tutorials I didn't already know how to do. Naturally it warranted further investigation!
One thing led to another and I decided I had to see what I could do for the contests. Shiny, shiny contests.
This was my first entry of the two allowed. ... yeah, I know. I guess mainly I was just stretching my photomanip limbs again. Usually when I'm working in Photoshop, I'm drawing or otherwise making art from scratch.
This is my second entry. Inspiration hit a lot harder on this one. That ocean was made from one of the tutorials that caught my eye, and it's kind of a bugger to set up but well worth it. I love how it came out, and also the mermaid's reflection. What I don't like is the submerged tail. I should have tried to find a fish tail and worked that in somehow instead of trying to paint my own in. But, c'est la vie. It's in now, for better or worse.
Now to try and actually get the Kairi card done before I sleep. All the hard work's done, so I should be able to manage it.
