Back gate is still secure; we've barricaded it, just to be safe. Garage door is shut and blocked off. Side gate is barricaded. Rabbit's inside. Pet doors are closed, all animals are accounted for. Front door is locked and barricaded. We've retrieved all the sharp, pointy gardening implements from the back, I've got my sword down...
It's funny, how it reshuffles your priorities. I'm looking at everything in the house, and assessing its weapon potential. We're better armed than I thought.
There's saws in the garage. I think we might have to cut down the grapefruit tree; it's another possible point of entry. I never really liked it anyway.
Dad's still at work. Can't get in contact with him. He probably won't be coming home any time soon. Good thing he works in a prison... they must be able to keep the zombies at bay.
Heard screams outside earlier. They're coming.
