Artists!

I have a dilemma.

I've done the Artist's Alley thing, like, once before. It was a very informal affair at AniZona. I sold one product, started with a stock of 25, and sold like 16. It was pretty cool. There were about 1,200 people there.

Now, I'm doing it at AX.

Which has... hundreds of thousands of attendees.

I have rather more variety now, and originally I was thinking I'd bring 15 of each image.

... Except for the hundreds of thousands of people. I'm terrified that I won't have enough, even if I decide to bring 30 of each image.

Can anyone give me a good ballpark figure of how much I could expect these to sell?

The Sun
The Star
The Moon
IX Ladies Dancing
A Certain Resemblance
Fourth-Grade Perils
Rude Awakening
Mistletoe

Is 30 enough? Too little? Too much? I'll probably have an overstock sale here and/or on dA if I have anything left after con, so I'd rather print too much than too little. I wouldn't be so neurotic if I hadn't sold so much of what I had at a con that is a FRACTION of Anime Expo's size...

I'm no artist, and I've never even been to a convention, but I'd have a big sign saying that they can buy anything they see off Deviant Art, just in case.

And I totally read that as Fourth Grade Penis.

Just a sign on your booth saying, "Like what you see? Go to www.wheverevers.com/ohai to buy MOAR prints!"

"Mistletoe" is my favorite and I don't even like slash, normally. ^^ ...It's just so sweet and cheerful and I love their expressions and all the colour.

I wish I could help with your expo queries, but I've never been to a con, much less sold art for one. So ~ very best of luck. I'd buy your art if I was there. ^___^

Honestly, I'd say print a lot. Unless it's going to break you financially, figure out how many you realistically think you need and then double that number. When I was standing around in Artist's Alley at AX last year, I saw one woman sell three of the same print in ten minutes. Now, I'll grant you, it was Axel/Roxas and therefore absurdly popular, but still. As you say, you can always have an overstock sale afterward if you overestimated.
