I sort of had an awful day yesterday, and I have a lot of writing to do today that I really don't want to do. T_T Distract me, flist!
It's time for another round of the "Give me a character and I will tell you five things about them from my personal headcanon" meme. 8D Any fandom I'm into is fine; and this time, if I have no headcanon for the character you ask about, I'll try and make up at least one thing for you. ♥

(I'd ask you about lawyers but I'm still not far enough in the game. ;-;)

... crap, out of headcanon. I MAKE UP ONE FOR J00
- Marluxia was a virgin when he became a Nobody. He isn't now. He's a little irritated that he didn't hold out - now he's stuck with rose petals and those just don't have the same appealing symbolism of brevity and death.
The above was pure silliness. Apparently in a lot of shoujo manga, when the heroine is shown in one of those sparkly flowers-everywhere pages, she gets cherry blossoms if she's a virgin; rose petals if she isn't. I learned this from Libek and it was too hilarious not to apply to Marluxia.

1. Edgeworth has not had sex ever. Period, point blank. There are many reasons for this - his complete social ineptitude (he has no idea how one would even begin to negotiate for such an encounter), lack of time due to his extreme devotion to his studies and his legal career, and finally a simple lack of deeper interest in anyone he's found physically attractive - up to now he's had no desire to change his status because he simply doesn't see it as relevant to his life at this time.
Naturally Phoenix changes all this.2. Actually, even now that he's fallen in love with Phoenix, he's still insisting to himself that's irrelevant because he's sure the odds of Phoenix returning his interest are in the negatives, so he'd much rather just keep it to himself and spare them both the humiliating confrontation.
3. He didn't just inherit Gregory's looks and sense of justice - he got his bad eyes, too. He's badly nearsighted. It didn't really start setting in until he started puberty, and he spent a couple years deathly terrified that he was going to go completely blind. Despite this, he never bothered going to von Karma for help, having no delusions about how much sympathy he would receive, and instead pushed through stubbornly until he was old enough to go and get a prescription for contact lenses for himself. Franziska is the only one who knows, and she went with him to the optometrist.
4. He's an accent sponge. Phoenix and Maya privately think it's hilarious, because whenever he comes back from traveling, he's picked up an accent depending on where he was. If he went to a lot of different places, he comes home with a very complex accent. This applies to American accents as well. Oddly, LA is the only place that does NOT affect his speech - when he's there for any length of time, he'll revert to his "natural" way of speaking, which is not very Los Angelesian at all.
5. He just really likes pink. Shut up. Pink can be masculine, dammit.

1. Her conscious reasons for leaving Kurain had to do with family; however, she's so much more comfortable and in her element in the city, she can't help wondering if getting out of the boondocks was an unconscious ulterior motive.
2. Mia's feelings about Diego have fluctuated wildly. At first she was respectful of and honestly a bit intimidated by him, due to his seniority and his skill as a defense attorney. Then she found out about his major caffeine addiction and thought that was funny. Then she found out what a womanizer he was, and couldn't take him at all seriously for a long time. Then the Fawles case happened, and she finally began to respect him on his own terms, as he did the same to her... and fell in love with him.
3. On the subject of Diego, his womanizing attitude - and not just his, but a lot of men's - was a bit of a shock to her system. She was old enough when she left Kurain to have had a set model in her mind of How Men Acted Towards Women, and the Los Angeles model was... very, very different. Mia being Mia, though, she managed to cope.
4. Mia really doesn't like talking on the phone for too long. It's bearable, even pleasant, with her sister, but in general she would much rather talk in person, or through mail. Over the years, she made sure to write Maya a long letter every month, telling about her life, her experiences in the city, and anything else that came to mind. (It's probably because of these letters that Maya feels so completely at home anywhere she goes; Mia left her more than adequately prepared to deal with both worlds.)
5. In all honesty, she was just a little bit nervous when Phoenix came to her seeking mentoring; his murder trial had left her with a less than stellar impression of his intelligence, maturity, and judgement. When she took him on anyway, there were times when she sorely regretted it. She's never been so glad to be proved wrong.

- Minnie is easily as competent a mage and ruler as her husband; she's aware enough of her ability and status as the queen that she can take control when needed and run the kingdom well, but she's never quite felt like she was up to snuff in the magic department. She's never told Mickey, because it isn't an issue that carries enough importance in her mind for her to think discussion is warranted or necessary. But it's there.

1. Privately, he actually likes the dark powers he still has; he's very wary of feeling too much affection for the darkness, but... it still strongly appeals to him that he can use the darkness to shield his friends from harm, and being able to smell their hearts is deeply comforting to him - he can always be assured that they're nearby, and safe.
Also, dark fire is handy.
2. As much as he likes to be near Sora and Kairi, Riku has sort of mentally written himself out of the trio. After everything he's done, it's hard for him to believe he still has an equal place with them.
3. Calling himself "Ansem" was, more than self-punishment and a sign of resolve, an attack against Xehanort's Heartless itself - by forcing himself to identify with that name and form, he lessened his own fear, and in so doing, his vulnerability. It was a strategy to deny Ansem any foothold in his heart to gain power again. It seemed to work.
4. Riku's mother made him that wooden sword after he came to her fearing monsters, and told him it would keep him safe. As a child, he believed in that as much as he believed the tide would roll in. He never quite shook it; even at Hollow Bastion, under all the hatred he'd cultivated, there was a wide-eyed little child inside who believed that Sora would still be okay, as long as he held on to that toy sword.
5. It is almost physically impossible for Riku to top. This will not be a permanent state of affairs, if Sora has anything to say about it, but he has so much leftover guilt, and is so terrified of causing harm, that for a long time he just will not be able to top. Someday he'll get better.

Um... they find the rest of the Treasures, defeat the Dark Dweller, something happens to Bloth, Ren becomes king, good end?
Ren probably doesn't know what to think about being king. On the one hand, boy's a born leader, holds the crew of the Wraith together like superglue, drives the Quest half of the time through sheer determination... on the other hand, he cut his leadership teeth on running a boat with a crew of four. The kingdom of Octopon is something else altogether. He probably loves his increased capacity to be a force for good in the world, because he's Ren, but I'm sure the politics annoy him.
Ioz probably just goes right on back to being a pirate. Tula probably joins him sometimes. (I always shipped those two so much.)
Niddler eats lots and lots of minga melons.
(Oh, trust me, it's been discussed. It's perfect. I'm just not taking up the mantle, because I understand Amiko's going to be including it in her Epic Kairi Kickass Fic.)

- He WILL get into the dresspheres. He WILL have entirely too much fun with them. They're going to have to rename the Lady Luck sphere, because on him it produces a very fine and very masculine set of clothes (that are not-coincidentally reminiscent of a famous male gambler from Square's past, cough cough ahem.)
- During that time he spent on the Farplane, he spent days and weeks talking endlessly with his father; every percieved slight, every grievance from the past was dredged up and summarily laid to rest. It was incredibly cathartic, and a great relief to the both of them... and then things just got awkward, because then what do you do with the rest of your afterlife?
That's all I can come up with. :(

XD. I think I heard that the Lady Luck dressphere was originally the Gambler dressphere in the Japanese version. However, knowing very little Japanese myself, I wouldn't know.

- Fakir's power is an incredible temptation; with the right words, he could give Ahiru back the form she was so reluctant to leave, and solve everything... But then he remembers how freely Drosselmeyer meddled, and both his conscience and his intuition as a writer stay his hand.
- Ahiru, for her part, really is okay with being a duck again, just as long as she can be close to Fakir.
- All the same, there are days when they each want nothing more than to dance with the other, just one more time.
- Eventually Fakir is going to actually see Swan Lake and be inspired.
- To this day, they still both feel a flicker of panic whenever a sorrow of ravens flies overhead, or they see a few picking at scraps on the ground. They're softening over time, though; the ravens aren't a part of Drosselmeyer's story, and they don't much care about people's hearts any more.

- I still like the name Zax Gunnolf better than Zack Fair. (I'm accepting the name 'Zack' only grudgingly. XD;)
- Zack loves Aerith deeply and truly, there is no questioning this. However, if things had gone better, there might have been room next to her in his heart for Cloud.
- Sephiroth never knew when precisely he was born. Zack, dismayed by this, picked a random day and gave it to him for a birthday.

Sigh. As the Cabal's Franziska, however, I shall do my best. XD
- Little Franziska was good at math. Miles was shooting to become a prosecutor by 20, and she managed to work out that she'd be thirteen at that time. That was when she set her goal to become a prosecutor by thirteen - there was no way she was going to lag behind her little brother.
- Courtrooms are not very receptive places to pretty little girls with frilly bows. They are considerably more accomodating of pretty little girls with frilly bows and whips. Franziska figured this out very quickly, and made sure to let nobody forget, in or out of court, that she was to be taken seriously. Because of how quickly and thoroughly people did start taking her seriously once she took it up, she, consciously or not, attributes much of her status and respect to the whip. By now, it's as much a security blanket as it is a symbol of authority.
