I sort of had an awful day yesterday, and I have a lot of writing to do today that I really don't want to do. T_T Distract me, flist!
It's time for another round of the "Give me a character and I will tell you five things about them from my personal headcanon" meme. 8D Any fandom I'm into is fine; and this time, if I have no headcanon for the character you ask about, I'll try and make up at least one thing for you. ♥

1. Her conscious reasons for leaving Kurain had to do with family; however, she's so much more comfortable and in her element in the city, she can't help wondering if getting out of the boondocks was an unconscious ulterior motive.
2. Mia's feelings about Diego have fluctuated wildly. At first she was respectful of and honestly a bit intimidated by him, due to his seniority and his skill as a defense attorney. Then she found out about his major caffeine addiction and thought that was funny. Then she found out what a womanizer he was, and couldn't take him at all seriously for a long time. Then the Fawles case happened, and she finally began to respect him on his own terms, as he did the same to her... and fell in love with him.
3. On the subject of Diego, his womanizing attitude - and not just his, but a lot of men's - was a bit of a shock to her system. She was old enough when she left Kurain to have had a set model in her mind of How Men Acted Towards Women, and the Los Angeles model was... very, very different. Mia being Mia, though, she managed to cope.
4. Mia really doesn't like talking on the phone for too long. It's bearable, even pleasant, with her sister, but in general she would much rather talk in person, or through mail. Over the years, she made sure to write Maya a long letter every month, telling about her life, her experiences in the city, and anything else that came to mind. (It's probably because of these letters that Maya feels so completely at home anywhere she goes; Mia left her more than adequately prepared to deal with both worlds.)
5. In all honesty, she was just a little bit nervous when Phoenix came to her seeking mentoring; his murder trial had left her with a less than stellar impression of his intelligence, maturity, and judgement. When she took him on anyway, there were times when she sorely regretted it. She's never been so glad to be proved wrong.
