Okay! So here's what's up.

For the last two days, I've been working front doors/Kidcot at The Land pavilion - same building as Soarin', actually - as a stopgap while they shift me over to quick service food/bev. Kidcot was the BEST JOB EVER, getting to sit down and just watch kids color~ And it was RIGHT next to a character dining restaurant, which is why Mickey and Dale came to pester me at work yesterday (BEST THING EVER); front doors wasn't AS awesome, but I got to trade a lot of pins and talk to people and it was great. (And there was a group doing a Disney scavenger hunt that had to find the ONE tile that makes the two mosaic murals on the way into the pavilion not perfect mirror images. >D

I did give out a few hints until they found it. XD It was great.)

So anyway, today I got my new schedule. I'm going to start training this week in quick service, and I'm going to Liberty Inn in the World Showcase. :D It's like AT THE OTHER END OF EPCOT from where I'm working now, but that's okay.

It's a little sobering, though. Working my low-stress stopgap job, with the psychological distance from Soarin', I was finally starting to relax and feel okay (and realize just how Not Cut Out I was for Soarin' anyway) and less afraid of my situation. As I prepare to actually go into quick service, though - my literal last-resort option, nothing else I can do if I fail this - I'm a little nervous again. It won't be as intense and technical as Soarin', I know that, it might be just as BUSY but I'm not going to risk killing anyone if I screw up there (as is a real possibility at Soarin'). But it's still screw-uppable, and if I can't hack it at Liberty Inn...

Well, I'll be training over the next couple weeks, anyway. After that, we'll see if I'm going to be in this for the long haul. Wish me luck and unexpected competence.

I actually wanted them to go into that more! I was really expecting them to have him save the day when they got stuck in the anti-spiral ocean, because not being a spiral being had to give him some kind of advantage they didn't have, right? It can't just TOTALLY SUCK FOR ALL BEASTMEN EVER, RIGHT?

But no, Simon's ~~penis~~ drill had to save the day.

NOPE. TTLY SUCKS TO BE A BEASTMAN. AT LEAST SINCE CYTO BIT IT. QQ

I can't remember that episode clearly; I thought that was when Boota came into play. Which, if anything, is even MORE insulting. THE HAMSTER'S ~~penis~~ DRILL IS BIGGER AND SEXIER THAN VIRAL'S.

Jeez.

And he WANTED to be a spiral dude! And have a ~~penis~~ ~~drill~~ wife that didn't abuse him! And tiny adorable children! It was SAD.

And now his undying body, still WITHOUT a ~~penis~~ drill, is running around FOREVER. In the same world where Rossiu's face suddenly and inexplicably is BEJOWLED AND BEFUGGED.

SAD ALL AROUND.

Even their food is awesome(ly bad, in most cases).

There was a great deal of awesome already in the ending! Just a couple of isolated bits.

Like GIMI AND DARI. Those two are highly awesome!

Or Rossiu's priest outfit. Mmmm.

I have never been to a Disneywhatev in the states so I have no idea what half of that MEANT but yay for childrens!! And Success.

I'm glad you're getting the chance to find something that suits you better. :3 I worked at Baskin Robbins for a while when I was younger, and I really enjoyed it. People are really interesting, and I actually think food is fun to work with. ^^;
