Because it's late and I have no more work and memes are fun, one I shamelessly stole from weyrdchic:

Pick a fictional character from a fandom I know and I'll answer the following questions to the best of my abilities.

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.

2) Is he/she important to the general plot?

3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?

4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?

5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)

6) Is there anything about the character you would change?

7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how do you see yourself interacting with him/her? (Would you get along well? Fall in love with? Dislike? Friendly rivalry? etc etc)

1. He's not my favorite, but I like him - how he's loud and angry and huge but has genuine depth, and it's not HE'S BIG AND ANGRY BUT SECRETLY SOFT AND SWEET INSIDE but rather, he has sweet spots and he's a basically decent person but he's still loud and angry and suspicious and... I don't know, I can't put it into words, but I like how real he feels as a character, he's not as shallow as he looks at first and all his depth genuinely fits with what you see on the surface. I like how he's something of a hypocrite, and able to admit it, and how he loves his daughter even though the guilt probably kills him every time he looks at her, and I love how he and Tifa make such a great little patchwork family with the kids and just... Yeah. I like him.

... Why did I have more to say about him than about freaking Edgeworth, what the fuck. XD

2. Yeah, he's what gets it rolling - he becomes a little less important later on, but he's the catalyst. We wouldn't have a plot without Barret.

3. He doesn't GRIP me, but I do find his story compelling.

4. See above, since it's the same fandom. XD

5. Uh, secretly I ship him a little bit with Tifa. I would lovelovelove to see someone write Barret/Tifa and Cloud/Tifa simultaneously, with unspoken understandings and maybe not quite a full-blown relationship on either side so nobody knows quite how boldly or how carefully to tread, and feelings are hurt sometimes, badly in some cases, but ultimately they've all been through too much together and value too many of the same things and people too highly to really ever break apart.

6. It does bother me a little how he's very much a Japanese caricature of black people, and his RAAAGE!!1 is offputting, but eh.

7. Oh my god he'd probably scare the shit out of me XD I doubt he'd have much patience for me either.

8. Not one of my favorites, but I am very fond of him.

9. Nah.

10. Sadly, I doubt it.
