because of course you want to hear more about CFUD
I think my favorite part of multifandom games is the potential for interesting and unexpected IC friendships.
It's not that a character's canon relationships aren't good enough - it's just that letting them meet new people, who aren't in their story for a specific plot reason but are just there brings a sometimes startling dimension of vitality to the character. When you throw in the wildly different mythos that multifandoms have to deal with, it gets really amazing. (Riku's already had to explain darkness twice. It's really hard, but really fun to come up with a way to write what is, to him, like describing blue.)
And sometimes, a different character from a completely different fandom, with a completely different worldview, that Character A would have no other chance of meeting other than a multifandom RP, is exactly what they need.
Like, I still remember Zax and Vash's friendship on Sages and AP with immense fondness - they were such similar, optimistic people, who got along so well despite their stark disagreement on a few major things. I loved playing Zax, very aware of the implications of his chosen career, off of uber-pacifist Vash. It was great RP and they made the best BFFs ever.
I've only been in CFUD for a couple of weeks, and already Riku's making interesting friends. (Hilariously, some of them are from canons that are pretty much at the other end of the scale from his. o Kingdom Hearts.) I'm really looking forward to seeing what else develops~
(Also, it is now my headcanon forever that after they get out of Camp, Riku tracks down Kaiji and steals him away to his world where poor Kaiji can get a goddamned break.)

BTW, added you to the comic filter. Sorry if this isn't the first time I've told you; I just can't remember right now. ^^;

I would read that. Hell, I would help you write it. XD Once Kaiji stopped freaking out (because his first reaction would probably be to think that he'd died and gone to heaven) he'd probably really enjoy himself. :)

Yeah, I can hardly imagine poor abused Kaiji on the idyllic Destiny Islands with people who are actually interested in seeing him happy. XD ALL THE MORE REASON TO DO IT, OBVIOUSLY.

But yeah, that's something I'm really enjoying about cfud too. Cos really, the only way for Kaiji to make friends is to look outside his canon.

...poor Kaiji. XD
