Really? Last spring OpenOffice and I had a screaming fit because it's not compatible with anything, ever, and I couldn't use it to complete the forms for my new teacher training.
...Huh. I haven't had any experiences like that with it (though, granted, we're probably not using it in the same way). The only problem I've had with it is that it absolutely butchers formatting when I save out to .rtf and, frankly, Word probably does the same thing.
I mainly like it because it's nice to have something that functions like Word for my school writin' needs (and something else that functions like Powerpoint for my slideshow needs) that doesn't whine at me for a product key every single time I want to use it EVEN THOUGH THE DAMN THING WAS PRELOADED ON MY MACHINE AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GIVE IT THE PRODUCT KEY IT WANTS AUUUUUGGHGKG.
