RPing: Chicken Soup for the Muse's Soul

So, it recently occurred to me that I never RP with exxikins anymore. We spent all night last night remedying that. ^^

It had the desired effect of waking my muses up. Particularly the characters I was playing with, Arden and Kirga. (Arden is a rowdy, vulgar, rude Burmecian with one eye; Kirga is a patient, erudite, very polite Ronso trained as a monk. They're both dragoons in the service of Marano, and Kirga is friends with Gray.) Kirga and Gray are playing with a vignette, and Arden hit me so hard with a bunny last night that I think I have a bruise.

Hopefully, if they can get something done with me, it'll encourage the other muses. Schala has a wonderful bunny she's breeding that she's very reluctant to send out into the wide world; she resists every time I try to take it from her to write it. Yuna's been neglecting this one bunny for ages and I suspect the poor thing will starve if it doesn't get some attention soon. Setzer bred his three or five bunnies in a fit of enthusiasm and then abandoned the whole litter on my desk. If I can find Zax, maybe I can get him back to work with me on this speculative what-if that fizzled out a while back, and Lucca's been looking speculatively at a really horribly angsty bunny for a while... At least Cloud has a reason for cooling his heels, that reason being that his crossover needs a heck of a lot more data before I can even start it.

So, anyway. Here's hoping I get something up soon!

Nobody cares, but I feel the need to explain the prevailing motif in this journal, and it's nearly all kupoke's fault. XD

Bob the Crossdressing Rubber Chicken (old title) - Joke from school. My friend Tracye got me a rubber chicken for my birthday, whom I named Bob. My friend Heather got the biggest kick out of Bob, so I let her babysit him for the rest of the day. She gave him back dressed in a marker-colored-Kleenex Yuna costume. (So he's really a crossplaying rubber chicken, but.)

voodoobob - Joke with kupoke. Once upon a time, he gave me a horribly scarring mental image or something, and I was feeling superstitious that day, so I didn't want to say something like "curse you" or "god damn you" or anything like that. So I settled for "I curse thee with chickens!" Which I thought sounded vitriolic enough, but also amusing and harmless. He loved it and has since never missed a good opportunity to throw it back at me in some form. XD So when I was trying to figure out an LJ username, he suggested "voodoobob". His reasoning was: voodoo = curse, bob = chicken. XD I'd been considering "hotwithdestiny", but "voodoobob" stuck.

Alektorophobia - fear of chickens.

So there you have it. And it has nothing to do with chickens, but kupoke also made that animated Cloud icon I use. XD Everyone go love him. I mean Kupoke, not Cloud, although you can love Cloud too.
