Thinking of you, wherever you are...
Jul. 18th, 2004 06:48 pmY'know, it's funny... sometimes it's the smallest things.
Winamp just played Another White Dash, and me being a geek and in a pretty good mood, I sang along.
Partway through, I suddenly remembered the concert trip this summer; specifically, sitting in the car with Jason one night, in the driveway of his house, both of us singing along to this very song.
I miss California. I miss the large part of this summer that is already only memories. And right now, I really miss Jason.
This is what sucks about having good friends all over the country (like
kupoke,
weyrdchic,
murasakiiro, and
nekokoban) and even in different countries (hi,
skinship). You can't all be in the same place at once, and if you can be it involves lots of plans and travel and stress. I can literally walk from where I am to
jawzdharken's house in about 20-30 minutes, and I'm glad of it, but I can't do it with anyone else I know because most of my friends are spread out over the US and beyond.
And if you're ever lucky enough to meet your distant friends in person, you end up missing them all terribly when you go back home.
But I guess it's all worth it in the end.
