The difficulties of being a FAKE fan
Oct. 11th, 2004 07:36 pmFor once, this isn't a bitchy fandom rant. XD
The problem with being a FAKE writer is that FAKE takes place in New York City in the current time. Which means that just about any damn thing that happens in New York these days, you could feasibly write a FAKE fanfic about. I'm especially susceptible to this. When I read about the mass arrests at the Republican National Convention this year, I was sorely tempted to write about Dee and Ryou getting caught up in it. And when I stumbled upon this site - Improv Everywhere - I quickly became tempted to write about Dee and Ryou being unsuspecting audience members at, oh, say No Pants! 2k4.
I'm not sure what to do about this. Please advise.
