NEW COMPUTER SQUEE
Jan. 7th, 2005 09:03 pmMy rather weary old computer has just been retired, and is replaced with a sleek new Hewlett-Packard. ^_^ It's got a front USB port, an 80 gig hard drive, 512 megabytes of RAM, a CD/DVD drive, FireWire access, (anyone wanna give me an iPod? XD) 2.5 gigahertz processor speed... It's pretty, it's blazing fast, it's much quieter than the old one, takes up less space, and is not near as cluttered... and it has a nice selection of pre-installed software. (Including iTunes for Windows, which is the only one I care about at this time. XD I really, really, really want an iPod to justify my having these shinies.)
The only problem at the moment is that I have the standard procedure of re-installing every single program. I've already installed the bare essentials (Firefox, Thunderbird, and AIM), but that still leaves... hmm... Photoshop, Trillian, Winamp, and... I think that's it. Plus any games I may wish to play. Also, we lacked a cable long enough to connect the D drive... which is where all my stuff is. XD So I have no MP3s. Or, like... anything. But that can be fixed easily enough. <3
*hugs the new computer* It is so sexy. It needs a name. :3
