So... last night I got a fly-by muse and dutifully sketched the idea out, and now today I'm diligently outlining my sketch in Photoshop with the pen tool, planning to apply an analogous color scheme and guessing where the highlights and shadows will go and hoping to get a deviantART prints account soon so I can sell this.
