(no subject)

Ah, yes. This is why I decided to take up Setzer/Edgar for my first 1sentence challenge.

Beautiful, beautiful art there, no mistake. But Edgar as the willowy, fragile, über-uke, with Setzer as his tall, manly super-seme? Uh. No.

Really, the whole reason I like Setzer/Edgar (besides the fact that it's hot) is that in so many ways they are on such equal footing. Setzer is too much of a free spirit for Edgar to really be able to exert any control over him, Setzer can't tell Edgar what to do because he's the king, and neither of them would really want to, anyway. They're both high-class men with refined tastes, but neither of them is afraid to get down and dirty with a toolbox and a malfunctioning engine. They'd compare notes. They'd snark at each other, they'd fight over whose turn it was to top, they'd do things like spend the whole morning working on the Falcon before cleaning up and going to an opera, and then they'd go get drunk and play cards and wake up tangled in each other's hair. There is no seme or uke here, nor is there even a king and subject. It's just a couple of guys with some similar interests who took a shine to each other and have great sex. And maybe they're a bit in love, but hey, if it comes to that, actions speak louder than words.

At least that's how I see the pairing.

So, yeah. Apparently if I want any Setzer/Edgar that isn't Seme!Setzer/Uke!Edgar, I've got to write it myself. XD Or go make some more woobly eyes at Aster. XD

Oh, and the other thing that bugs me about that site? The heights.
