I need to write things down more. I found a pocket notebook last night that I bought for one of my creative writing courses in high school. We were supposed to take down observations about things in it. I was really bad about doing this, of course. Looking at some of the things I wrote, though, I'm kind of regretting that. I'd like to read more.
Most of it is snapshots of what I was thinking in a particular moment, or what was happening around me - more a journal than an observation book. There are some long-winded descriptions, random opinions... there's numbers for a homework assignment, devoid of context, written at the top of a page. There's a few doodles. The last two pages with any writing on them contain only one-liners, and then the rest is blank. I didn't even use a fraction of the notebook.
I'm kind of disappointed in myself.
