I'm a cosplay addict.
So. Since my grandmother died in late May, we're still adjusting... among other things, we suddenly have much less money than we had, because a good part of our income was coming from Gramma's social security. I hadn't purchased all the necessary materials for my latest cosplay, so I was reluctant to ask for them, and decided I just wouldn't cosplay this year.
Given that I ALWAYS cosplay, this is kind of surprising. Nevertheless, I managed to hold to it. I did decide to cosplay a very simple version of my Gaia avatar, because it was easy as hell, composed of normal clothes, and my hair is currently perfect for it.
Then I started talking to KC about Expo. She's cosplaying an Al Bhed chick and carrying a Sin plushie. :D She found out my Johnny K. Gambino cosplay fell through, and I assured her that I would most certainly be doing it next year. Then I mentioned my other plans for next year, and mused that I might reprise Zax.

Five minutes later, I'm tearing my house apart trying to find Zax's armor and I'm about to touch up his belt. And possibly make a last-minute Phoenix Circlet for my Gaia avatar.
