fuyu | (no subject)

The weather is just LOVELY out there. :D The weather's been more or less sitting around and twiddling its thumbs all summer, but last night we finally got a truly gigantic storm. We're talking walls of rain, 60mph gusts, flooded streets... really, it made up for all the rain we haven't been getting. XD We're lucky to have gotten through it mostly intact... I hear there's trees down and flash floods and all kinds of power outages. Our power didn't even flicker. O_o Onre thing, though... the roof of the neighborhood grocery store collapsed. O_O It was only a partial collapse, though, and it was to the back of the store. Employees apparently heard it and got everyone out of the way, so thankfully nobody was hurt.

The storm blew over sometime late last night. It's not raining this morning, but it is completely overcast. The storm dropped the temperature to about 70 degrees, and now the clouds are blocking the heat. :D So it's humid but cool out there. And thanks to the cloud cover, it is NOT fuck-all glaringly bright. :D I love cloudlight.

I'm tempted to go out somewhere. Can't think of any place I particularly want to go, though... ah, well. I hope the pretty weather holds.
