The moment of intimacy had gone horribly awry - Bikky had seen them in the tender kiss and reflexively yelped in revulsion, but it was Dee who had gotten angry; Ryou crossed his arms as the two fought, Dee throwing far more of a tantrum than Bikky, and he wondered if he could ground them both.

Ed is almost tranquil, stretched out on the operating table with his hands behind his head as Winry works on his ankle, the adjustments too minor to necessitate removal of the limb.

"It's useful to have a metalhead like you for a friend, Winry," he says carelessly.

It's a good thing she didn't remove his leg; he needs it to run from death by wrench.

Sabin/Gau, housetrained.

The wild boy lives with him now; it seems a perfect compromise between humanity and the animal inside, living in Sabin's secluded cabin. They spar, and the prince learns much from Gau; they converse, and Gau's speech grows clearer and clearer.

And the best thing, Sabin jokes to himself, is that Gau came housetrained.
