Yes, I'm sure it's him doing that. He's my song-grabbiest muse, and I get the distinct impression that he likes DCfC. Whodathunk JJ goes for soft, gentle, deep-thought-inspiring rock? And he hasn't been able to solidly grab even one song of theirs, even.

(I hasten to remind my dear muse that Expo '86 DOES NOT COUNT as a full song; even though the chorus suits him perfectly, the other verses do not fit at all.)

*sigh* I know how you feel. My JJ has had this thing for Evanescence lately, particulary My Immortal and, Father Away. It's non-stop. I'm gonna go crazy. Damn muses, I think we let them get away too much... Shit, now Drake's just put on The Goo Goo Dolls.

Heh. It's not just DCfC, either; my JJ is deeply enamored of Neil Diamond's "I Am... I Said", and I cannot pry his fingers off Suzanne Vega's "In The Eye". Furthermore, and Drake have claimed Porno Graffiti's "Mienai Yume" as their song. No, they (and I) do not know what the lyrics mean. They don't care.

Anyway, it turns out JJ was trying to give me inspiration by playing that song ad infinitum. When it didn't work, he gave up on subtlety and smacked me upside the head with it. I've just posted the result of that inspiration on the ML. ^^
