(alterplanet doesn't have memories. XD If you wanna see some of the older threads, search the_brat_sister's memories, though those're mostly for Sages. Alternately, go to AP's front page and just keep skipping back, it's a very young comm still so we don't have a lot of backlog. XD)
I tried watching the cutscene with the face-off against Whatshisfaceredhead (up till after Roxas defeats Setzer), but there was something... really strange about the sound, like the lines and sound effects were coming 20 seconds before they should. I could try to read the subtitles and all, but it bugged me so much I gave up. Then I decided to wait till 1 - there's more than youtube to get cutscenes from and 2 - there is really NO HOPE WHATSOEVER of me getting a ps2 + the games or at least a DVD burner and a ps2 emulator.
I admit to being a spoiler whore, but I also admit some spoilers can be terribly damaging. Aeris' death never moved me, even though I like the character - but Cloud's breakdown in the northern crater made me cry my eyes out, because I had no idea that him giving seph the black materia involved all that mind-fucking! His "I couldn't live up to being Cloud" line did it to me, then his apologizing just made it worse. It's not usually described in walkthroughs, for some reason. ARGH I'M GETTING TEARY HERE.
(And oh XD; I think I've seen most of the posts already, I just wanted to see where most of the plots and/or certain things came from. I was actually checking user's memories yesterday, and that's when I thought "maybe alterplanet has even more stuff!", but alas. I think what spurred me was Tifa's post on her dream in Cloud's body, and I got curious about what kind of talk she'd have with him (I love seeing those two interacting XD;;;).
The sad thing about not being in the RP is seing only half of the going-ons most of the time. I assume you guys RP more stuff in AIM/MSN, too, am I right?)
Yeah, spoilers can suck. I dunno, though, I wept at Aerith's death even though I'd known it would happen since quite honestly before I even had a Playstation.
(Now, didn't anybody ever tell you about assuming? XD We don't, actually. Well, I guess some of the others do, but on my side of it, it's all journals. A lot of what happens is just kind of offscreen, or it happens in character journals, or on Sages. Kadaj was prepping for the mindfuck in his journal for a while, the bodyswitch was pure Sages, Zax making friends with Vash was pure Sages, as was the fight with Greed. Sometimes I'll discuss with another mun if Zax or Tifa needs to do something with their pup - Cloudmun and I discussed a fair bit in AIM on how Zax and Cloud would be getting on after the mindfuck - but for the most part, whatcha see is whatcha get. XD; It's just that like half of it happens in Sages. *should pester Usermun to make a coherent "Story so far" post or something*
And if you want to see the talk Tifa has with Cloud, that should be sometime this weekend. I think we're swapping them back today and she'll probably want to chat with him after that.)
(XD;; well, I remember seeing someone comment about pasting an aim conversation to a post or something, so I assumed it was common practice - some development or just random RPing happening via AIM and being pasted later if appropriate. Dunno, it made sense.
I saw the bodyswitch post. XD XD I love Cloud and Tifa's reaction to being in each other's body, but I still want more whackiness! XD;; It made me actually want to write a fanfic or something about Cloud being forced, for whatever stupid reason, to date a straightforward guy who has no clue or common sense, just for the sake of thinking up his reactions to being the target of groping and incessant lame flirting. XD XD He'd probably be convinced his approach is the best one. XD)
