Well, hello there.

I just chose to commit to a pre-existing and almost finished project. Which, of course, means that a couple of hazy proto-muses suddenly decided to solidify and start throwing ideas at me, dragging another new muse in from nowhere at all.

Sigh.

Name: Sean McCrea
Age: 19
Bio: Sean is an English major, hoping to become a published writer one day. He's easygoing, sweet, forgiving, and very laid-back. Unfortunately, this attitude extends to his schoolwork, and his grades aren't all they could be. It's not that he doesn't care about his classes; he does. He just doesn't care so much about homework. He works part-time behind the counter in a New Age shop.

Theoretically bisexual, gay in practice. He's casually dated a few guys, but it's never gone very far. It seems that Sean is holding out for Mr. Right.

Name: Reid Hunter
Age: 19
Bio: Reid hasn't defined a major yet; he's picking and choosing classes that look interesting to him, none of which seem to fit together. Despite this apparent lack of focus, he is obsessed with getting the best grades he can. Outside of school work, Reid is brash, loud, and very active, and can usually be seen on rollerblades or a skateboard. He is a self-proclaimed geek and still unemployed; due to his exemplary grades in high school, he has a full scholarship and doesn't forsee any imminent financial difficulties.

He's homosexual, but rather badly closeted. He's had next to no romantic involvement in his life, and he's starting to feel kind of lonely.

Name: Peregrine Fujihara
Age: 18
Bio: Peregrine is an art major, focusing on photography and graphic design. He is Reid's best friend and roommate, sharing Reid's passion for good grades. He's a third-generation Japanese-American, and despite the thorough Americanization of his parents and himself, he still speaks decent Japanese. He works part-time at a café, despite financial support from his parents and a scholarship like Reid's.

He's entirely straight, although most people he meets would never believe it, and some of his friends still don't. He shows up on everyone's gaydar, and it drives him crazy.

The three of them attend college in Tempe, Arizona; I haven't decided whether it's ASU or an imaginary college that's like MCC, only with dorms. I won't go so far as to say they have wacky misadventures, but they're certainly not bored.

I'm rather happy with them; they're cute, and they're inspiring me for a comic strip not unlike Azumanga Daioh, only on far less crack and with gay American college boys instead of Japanese high school girls.
