Gippal has an awesome voice. Eeeee. Ever since he was all, "Hey, uh, Nooj? My name's Gippal," instant falling in love here.

It's in one of the Crimson Spheres--Record 1 or 2. Either way, it's one of the ones you get when Yuna's in the Farplane in Chapter 3. Just so awesome the way Rick Gomez does it.

I must replay (again) and rewatch! I keep missing spheres. ;_; And I hardly remember any of the Crimson Spheres. ;_;

It is indeed fabulous. :D And the dub seems to be pretty good on the whole, so yay and win!

Oooh, yeah. I hope the voice casting isn't anything like KH2 (where Aerith was just awful and Leon...ugh).

See, from the promo stuff, I thought I was going to like Baralai more. Dark skin, check. White hair, check. Dark skin with white hair, check. Soft-spoken, check. By pure logical analysis, I should have loved Baralai. ... But no. Gippal. XD He has, like, animal magnetism or something.

XD Then my memory is fail, I guess.

Well, Mena Suvari is still Aerith, but she seems to have gotten her act together a bit. As does Chris Edgerly as Cid. (I totally know what you mean about Leon, though.)

Baralai has a special place in my heart because he's soft-spoken, polite, and then when you have to fight him, he starts yelling "SUFFER!" XD

But Gippal's just laid-back and funny, so I like him the best.

...God, I hope so. KH2 Aerith made me want to cry. I didn't mind Cid in the game much, though I thought the guy who did FFX Cid would have probably done a much better job.

And Christ, KH2 Leon. I don't know what happened--first his testorone-laden grunts, and then his bored nasal speaking voice. Pain on a stick. I imagined him as soft-spoken with a slight edge, to be honest.

The english dub sounds awesome, from what I've seen of it! Loz says "you meanie", Reno is SPOT ON and Cloud even sounds sort of choked on the imaginary flowerfield scene ♥ Kudos to Burton!

Now if only Mena Suvari hadn't been born ;____; she makes Aerith sound like she has a sore throat.

(By the way, I said I would, so consider this a reminder about that fic we talked about in our really freaking long lj conversation!)

I'm not too sure about Loz's voice, but hey. And yes, Reno is WIN, and Mr. Burton is indeed a very good Cloud. :D

Eh. Mena Suvari makes such a feeble, FLAT Aerith, you could swear she died of pneumonia instead of backstabbing. *is sleepy, thus a meanie*

Then again I'm used to heavy intonations (my first language relies heavily on intonations to convey feelings, which causes our literature to be verbose and our netspeak to suck like no tomorrow), so even normal spoken english sounds flat by comparison. XD;; I don't know, I just like how Burton and RenoVA had good intonations I could identify with. Most english dubs I've experienced can't manage such a feat. As for Loz, I've only heard his "you meanie!" line so far, but I found it such an awesome translation to the whiny "yurusanee!" from the original that I had to fangirl over it a little.
