There is nothing quite like the feeling of a costume coming slowly together under your hands. ♥
Pretty much all the sewing on Gambino is done. I may futz with the cape a bit, it's distractingly lopsided at the bottom. I still need to iron it and attach pins anyway, so I might as well.
Started painting the belt emblem gold. The texture is slowly smoothing out under all this paint - it'll never be perfect, but it should at least not look too bad on the costume. I still have to put the black backing and the bobby pins on, but that shouldn't be too hard.
I got a belt, but there's some issues with it. It's slightly too short to actually buckle around me, but it was the only belt I could find that was broad enough. So I'll have to rig up some kind of fastener. It's a good thing I'm going to be covering the actual buckle with the G emblem anyway, because it's going to be ugly back there. XD
Bracelets and pin still need painting, but that's simple work. I'll start on it tomorrow.
Looks like I'll have to dye/style the wig after all, which - since I lack a wig stand, bad me - will involve corralling my dad on one of his days off and making him play wig model. The task of wig-styling seems much less daunting now that I've got the clothes done - the rest is all polish.
Still dunno how or if I'll do the prosthetics. Basically, I need help doing the life cast because clearly I can't cast my own face, but I don't entirely trust my dad or my mom to do the casting properly. Ideally, I'd like one of the NSA peeps to help me, but most of them live too far away for it to be convenient, and I can hardly ever get in touch with Whitney, it seems. D: (I love all of you guys, though~)
So, there's still a bunch of work, but THE CLOTHES ARE DONE and that was my biggest mental stumbling block. If I keep on top of things now, I'm good. ♥

It's alright, I'm okay now. Just... frantic for a bit, there. It wasn't even that I couldn't figure it out, it was just me being neurotic about flying. I'll be okay, though! ..I still need to pay you back in kindness for the last brownie batch, so. D: *has been nomming on cookies*
I can't wait to see this, holy crap, it sounds most awesome! Even if you did mod some clothing, heck, that's still cool- FOR YOU ARE GONNA BE GAMBINO. I'm curious how you're gonna do the wig, and I would like to come over and help with the lifecast, but I don't think I'd be comfortable spending the night until next week, since I have stuff I wanna get done, and I don't know if that would be too long to wait, or what is going on AHHH TOMORROW IS WEDNESDAY IT IS CREEPING UP ON US AGHGHSHGHGHGHG~

*hugs* All right. D: ... Aaaaand um I think you already have repaid me. I used most of that gift card today and it felt like going into a CANDY STORE. I bought a BUNCH of things I'd been wanting to get for ages but never had the money to spare to just GET them. I got a whole batch of colored microns, and a bunch of BLOCK PRINTING SUPPLIES. Do you knoooowwww how long I've been wanting block printing stuff skhdgjhg it's been like seven years. I'msohappy. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I... am curious how I'm gonna do the wig too. Maybe we can find out together. XD;; And hey, no worries - even if you can just come over for a few hours and cast my face, that'll be great. 8D HOLY SHIT IT IS CREEPING UP ON US BUT WE WILL PERSEVERE. Maybe, if we're both really good and get stuff DONE in the next several days, we might be able to spare a day for Kingdom Crack or something. Buuuuut more likely we should do that after the con. XD
