*strangles on flavor*

I just made an egg-based mock danish, since I am on South Beach (back to phase 1 at the moment - no starch or sugar, period) and desire sweets and will embrace any alternative way to have them if I can. To make the frosting, I mixed cream cheese and artificial sweetener with vanilla.
TOO. MUCH. VANILLA.
This is right after trying and failing to make a key lime pie last night. The meringue crust mix wouldn't harden, so I ended up throwing in some chocolate, tossing it in the oven, and just hoping for the best. The resulting vaguely chocolate flavore pie-like thing was edible, but not appetizing. And now this.
Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of Alyssa's Adventures in Completely Inedible Confectionary! You'll be on the edge of your seat as you wonder how she's EVER going to survive when she starts living on her own!
