Jun. 10th, 2005 01:47 pmAkiko had to go to the vet this morning.
The poor thing was covered in multi-pointed cactus spines. From the sheer quantity of them and the way they were wedged in, we're guessing she was thrown.
Akiko is the sweetest, gentlest cat I've ever had. She's a fluffy, petite calico with pretty gold eyes. She doesn't yowl; in fact she hardly talks at all, and her voice is very small and soft. She doesn't bite or scratch, she's not in the least bit aggressive. She's friendly and trusting and sweet, she's the most unassuming, inoffensive little cat...
Why? Why would anyone do this to my poor Kiko? It must have been someone who just hates cats, because Kiko wouldn't have done anything to warrant a violent reaction...
She's still at the vet. She's on IV fluids, apparently she was also badly dehydrated. Which I don't get, she has plenty of access to water... this leads us to the thought that maybe this happened last night, and she was somehow prevented from getting home until this morning.
If I ever meet the person that did this, there will be words. They will not be nice ones. Fists may be involved.
