The enigma of the ants.

So... today, possibly sometime last night, these ants appeared.

I didn't notice until this morning that they were here at all, until I happened to look down in the kitchen and see a whole bunch of them milling over the vinyl. Tracking down the source, I found that they were proceeding in a neat little line across the living room carpet from the door.

They weren't here yesterday. And they weren't anywhere else in the house, just in that wobbly line across the living room and milling aimlessly in the kitchen. What the hell, world.

Dad put down some ant powder at the door where they were coming in, and that seems to have wiped them out. Still, though... what the hell.
