I love Cloud Strife. I really do. But it's hard to take him seriously.

I mean, okay. The hair isn't that bad. Ashley Riot has worse. Fifty million people in anime have worse. I like the hair. But it does make him resemble a chocobo.

The crossdressing was awesome, has made him the butt of so many jokes in fandom, and can potentially ruin any action scene in Advent Children for you - just watch him beating up the Shadow Creepers on Fenrir, for instance, and then tell yourself, "This man once wore a pretty, pretty purple dress. With pigtails."

What really ruins him for me, though? His seiyuu, Sakurai Takahiro.

See, I used to be deep in the Digimon fandom. Still have most of the character songs and stuff. And Sakurai Takahiro, well... he voiced Tentomon. Simply knowing this is brainbreaky enough for me, but...

Was listening to Tentomon's image song Dengeki Rhapsody the other day. I was doing fine right up until my brain treacherously reminded me that I was listening to Cloud's seiyuu. And all of a sudden I couldn't hear Tentomon anymore, I could only hear Cloud making a funny voice.

... can never listen to Dengeki Rhapsody again. Will kill myself laughing. XD
